OWINGS MILLS — The Ravens continue to get healthier leading up to their divisional game against the Houston Texans on Saturday at 4:30 at M&T Bank Stadium.
Rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers was back at practice after missing the regular-season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a calf injury. Flowers leads the team in receptions (77) and yards (858) with five touchdowns.
Coach John Harbaugh was pleased with the Ravens’ injury situation for this week of practice.
“We’re pretty optimistic about everybody and then varying degrees of optimism with certain guys,” he said. “Really, it’s just like any week – you just have to see it unfold. Some guys are good to go. Other guys are going to be more day by day.”
Tight end Mark Andrews also was at practice after being designated to return from injured reserve last week. Despite missing six games because of ankle injury, Andrews still ranked second on the team with 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns, best among the receivers.
Odafe Oweh (ankle) and Malik Harrison (groin) also returned to practice.
However, cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf), wide receiver Tylan Wallace (knee), and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (shoulder) were not at practice during the portion open to the media.
Moves
The Ravens waived wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and placed cornerback Damarion Williams on injured reserve. That means the team could fill those roster openings with Andrews, safety Ar’Darius Washington and/or running back Dalvin Cook, who was signed last week after being released by the Jets.
