OWINGS MILLS — Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is on the move again.
The Miami Dolphins signed Huntley off the Ravens ‘practice squad because Tua Tagovailoa is still in concussion protocol, coach Mike Mcdaniel confirmed. Skylar Thompson will be the starter for Miami against Seattle in Week 3, but Huntley could be the main backup.
On August 30th, the Ravens signed Huntley to the practice squad after he was released by the Cleveland Browns. He was the third quarterback behind the starter Lamar Jackson and Josh Johnson.
Huntley, 26, was signed by the Ravens as an undrafted rookie from Utah in 2020, Over his four-year career in Baltimore, Huntley went 3-6 as the starter with a 64.6 completion percentage, 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He has a career 79.0 rating.
The Ravens still have rookie quarterback Devin Leary on the practice squad.
