The stakes are high for the Ravens’ prime-time matchup against the Jaguars in Week 15.
With both the Steelers and Broncos losing on Saturday, the Ravens can clinch a playoff berth with a victory against Jacksonville.
The Ravens are looking for their 15th playoff appearance in their 28 years in Baltimore.
Coach John Harbaugh said the players are embracing the opportunity in front of them.
“We talk about things like [getting] one percent better every day, [getting] better today than yesterday [and getting] better tomorrow than today,” Harbaugh said. “Those simple things – one day at a time, one practice, one meeting, one play – those things are taken to heart here, and I think they understand the value of that process. Hopefully, in the end, that leads to success.”
The Ravens are also prepared for rainy and windy conditions in Jacksonville. Last week against the Rams at M&T Bank Stadium, there was a steady rain throughout the game and the Ravens prevailed, 37-31, in overtime.
“We have the rain [in the] forecast [and] the wind in the forecast last week,” Harbaugh said. “It was misty rain. It wasn’t too bad this last game, and it wasn’t too windy. This [game] is supposed to be more windy from what I understand. The rain’s supposed to roll out before the game starts, but you never know. We’ll just have to play [in] whatever the conditions are.”
The Ravens are just 3-7 all-time in Jacksonville.
Heading into Sunday’s game the current AFC North standings are:
- Ravens (10-3)
- Browns (8-5)
- Bengals (8-6)
- Steelers (7-7)
